I stumbled across this little gem in the library at Georgia Perimeter College. It's old, (Irene's business started in 1977 when she was about 42) but timeless. The same struggles she went through to start her business over 30 years ago, I'm going through today. You'll recognize them too! She came to some realizations much faster than I did and she may help you see how and why you should be developing a real business plan (not one that most books suggest for venture capitalists, but one that shows you how you're going to breakeven and what you have to do to make a profit in your business) and what records you really need to keep to see if your business is making a profit. It's an easy read. You'll finish it the evening after work and you'll be rejuvenated, putting her useful tips to work before midnight! It really is a little gem. If you get a chance to pick it up and your starting and running a business, you'll be introduced to a true comrad. rds
