Best money ever spent.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 years and have been slowly working through this book for about a year. It was am amazing tool to learning with and about each other.

What we expected

While some complain about the lack of depth in conversation questions, I would call it an opportunity for free discussion. Because the questions are rather general, one feels much more free to allow the conversation to wander from the original topic, providing more insight into the beliefs and backgrounds of your dating partner. As far as the format, there is simply nothing else out there. We looked hither and yon for an individual bible study with weekly couple components. This is it.

Digging Deeper...Together

This book has been amazing. My boyfriend has gone to church all his life and I started in 7th grade, we're now Freshmen in college, but we've know eachother for about 6 years and have been dating now for 2 years. I have always been slightly intimitated by his praying and his knowledge of the Bible but this has really opened up lines of communication that have enabled us to dig deeper and to honestly want to encourage eachother in our quite times as well as keep accountablity. Some of the Saturday discussion question have really allowed us to be real and to trust in eachother on a whole other level. We are still working on the book but it has already helped us to continue in our desire to glorify God in our relationships both with one another as well as others around us and to also hit home base on some topics that are never discussed. I'd recommend it but make sure that you pray about it and that it is something that God wants for the BOTH of you to do. :)

great book

My boyfriend and I read this book daily in the beginning of our relationship. We have just finished it, and it truly has helped us to grow closer and make us discuss spiritual issues. It has also brought us each closer to Christ. I recommend this for couples that are not engaged, just starting out and wanting to keep the relationship well-grounded in Christ. The scripture references for each day's reflection are awesome!

Well, I don't know about not getting anything out of this book if you've been a "long time" Christian. Aren't we always supposed to be learning, seeking truth?Anyway, for any couple that feels they are ready to explore their individual spirituality with each other, this is a great way to start.My favorite part about this devotional was that each of us can do our devotionals on our own (which is great when you're not married/living together and can't necessarily nail down a time to be together every day of the week with work and school to balance) and then at the end of the week, we can discuss it together. This gives you time to really explore how you feel about the week, where you are spiritually, and where you'd like to be. I have another devotional which I didn't particularly care for because it does not include any guidance questions. In "Devotions for Dating Couples" I love that guidance questions get us started, and then we continue the conversation into what we really enjoyed, learned, and how we can help each other.When I bought this book, I really didn't know what I was buying... it was so much better than I thought it would be!* The week is set up so that you can do one devotion each day for five days, and the sixth day has questions to ask and discuss. The devotions are also very short and not as time consuming.**Buy two books so that you can each write comments, underline, and do the devotionals alone, then you will have your thoughts handy on Saturday (or any day of your choosing) to discuss the week!God Bless!

This book is a must read for all dating couples, who are serious about finding THE ONE. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
