Seven of the Best by Bonham

This is a compilation of seven short stories by one of the best story tellers there ever was when it comes to giving the reader an entertaining and informative tale. Frank Bonham is unsurpassed when it comes to originality, accurate historical information, and the creation of realistic characters. The stories in this collection do not disappoint on any of these accounts. 'Brides for Oregon' the story of a man leading a wagon train of women west from Fort Laramie to Oregon to be wives; 'Devil's Graze' and 'Longhorns are Tough' show his talent and knowledge of rangeland affairs; 'Hop Yard Widow' tells a tale from Oregon's hop fields, an unusual and original setting to be sure when one thinks of a "western" but Bonham pulls it off with flying colors. This book I highly recommend.
