I ran across this book about 1990. I had designed a lot of software for a wide assortment of systems of various scale from the mid 1970's on. It really solidified a lot of analysis viewpoints I had developed by that time. The reviewer below is right in stating it doesn't seamlessly bridge the gap from analysis to application.
