Totally disagree with the other two readers, this is a good one I read this book ten years ago and still on my bookshelf. If it is not as other books with tools to easy approach problem solving or root cause analysis, it is not a book on decision making, it is not statistical, it address the different aspects of the thinking process, as for example Imaging. This needs to be understood. Critical thinking it's not an easy subject so examples need to be very simple. I am a problem solving expert I have studied different methodologies I started with the Rational Executive from Keppner and Tregoe and Apollo methodology, then root cause analysis, incident investigation, 5Ds, 8ds, six thinking hats, Joiner, kaizen, Kaizen Blits and I find this book interesting. The second chapter describes how to find relationships for example patterns, predicting, combining, etc. The chapter on problem solving is kind of weak but the overall book is good. There are few other books on the subject that address this process of critical and creative thinking together. I am using this book together with Moore's Creative and Critical Thinking.
