Developing Healthy and Holy Love Relationships

Apostle Burnell T. Williams Sr. his book in "Developing a Mature Love" provides the reader with a road map to fulfilling love in every realm of existence. In Part I, Williams speaks about the progression of mature love and parallels it to that of a tree, beginning with the seed which he likens to Lordship love or "Agape" love, as it relates to God and Jesus Christ. The root becomes friendship love "Philia/Philos" love, a spiritual family love, or the body of Christ. The tree is kinship love, "Storge," the physical family, husband and wife. The fruit equals son-ship love, Eros, or fruit of the womb, children and offspring. The fruit also equals spiritual maturity, Divine, or the fruit of the Spirit. Part II develops the benchmarks in developing spiritual maturity. Here Williams begins with Ruler-ship or Lordship. This stage includes love, joy, and peace. Stage two is citizenship or friendship love and adds longsuffering faithfulness, and self control. The ambassadorship or kinship stage adds kindness, goodness and gentleness. Burnell Williams writes with clarity and develops his material with a logical progression. His writings are based on solid Biblical principles and sound doctrine. Levels of love figured out

I loved this book! If I could give it 10 stars, I would. This book explains how to develop holy and healthy love for mankind, your spouse, and God. It should be required reading for everyone--especially pastors, counselors, anyone who is contemplating marriage or divorce, and anyone who just wants to grow deeper in love for mankind and God. Hats off to Burnell T. Williams, Sr. for sorting out the levels and stages of love and how we are to act in each one to develop mature love. Even people who have been married thirty-five years can benefit from this book! I am going to order several copies and give them as gifts.
