Yep,that's right, the Mayflower has landed, and its passengers are slowly starting to come out of hibernation. What they find is startling, the ship has landed in a strange world, half is black-and-white like an old photograph, and the other half is like an impressionest painting!the clock says they have been in space about 500 years!Over half of the passengers are dead, some missing...some people are still the same, others have been changed dramatically........I can't get enough!Once you read the first book with the rock and all that, you get excited about whats going to happen, and a lot does! There are no boring places in theese books, just places to catch your breath!I can't recomend theese books enough, although some younger kids might get frightened, anyone can enjoy theese books, even adults! So if you like a great sci-fi book,or kids and teen books,or if you just like a good read try theese books,I garentee you will not regret it!Hope this helped!

More! I must have more!

Just like the first Remnants book, this one is expertly written. I wished it was longer, though. When I finished, I was resenting the fact that "Them" doesn't come out until October. One thing's for sure: this book series can only get more interesting. The plot: five hundred years have passed since Earth was destroyed. Jobs, 2Face, Mo'Steel and the others wake up to discover that the Mayflower has landed on a surreal world that, creepily enough, seems to have been inspired by human artwork. Between twenty and thirty of the Eighty survived the trip. Some have changed, some haven't; Yago is still power-hungry, Billy Weird seems to be in an empathic coma, and something really bizarre has happened to Tamara Hoyle and her baby. There are many new characters introduced, so many that we wonder if K.A. can handle them all. And yes, in typical K.A. fashion, there are aliens. Lots of aliens.Animorphs and Everworld were great series, but Remnants is better in many ways. I can't wait for book 3....and book 4...and books 5 and 6 and 7 and...

The end of the world has come...and gone.

Five hundred years after the Mayflower and its crew left Earth before it was destroyed, Jobs and the others finally open their eyes to a world impossible to fathom. The terrain of this strange, new world is so unbelievable -- and it seems that it may pose a threatening danger to them, because they don't really know what's out there. Less than half of the eighty selected escapees survived the trip, and some of those undead are dying slowly, and because of never before seen diseases that maycontaminate the entire crew. Jobs, Mo'Steel, 2Face, and the others are desperate to understand this new world, and to cure the sick people that have awoken. But besides for the danger, there are some hideous revelations awaiting at every corner -- and some just may be unavoidable. Remnants #2: Destination Unknown is the exciting and unbelievably surprising second book in K.A. Applegate's all new Remnants series, which is proving time and again to replace the loss of Animorphs.

Brilliant!

This book is just as suspenseful and mysteryous as its prequel, "The Mayflower Project," where we first met the eighty people chosen to live after earth was destroyed. Now, in this new installment, they awaken 500 years and 12 days larter in a land where "normal" doesn't exsist. We've got a strange, artwork-like plannet; a baby who looks at you with empty eye sockets; decomposed adults; killer aliens; Billy Wier, who seems to be alive but paralyzed; and more. It has been said that Remnants is a series that will thrive on suprises, and there's a new suprise around every turn of a page in this book. All in all, it's a thriler, and it leaves you hanging, waiting, longing, for Book #3: THEM.

The thrilling second book in the Remnants series.

Just before the world was destroyed by an asteroid in 2011, eighty people were put into hibernation on a shuttle, called the Mayflower, and shot blindly into space. Now, five hundred years later, the Mayflower has landed. But less than half of the eighty survived the trip, and those that did find themselves on a strange, unnatural world. The survivors, who call themselves the Wakers, need to work together, but fear and hostility divides them. This world is inhabited by one or more alien species that may have been responsible for its creations. The Wakers may have survived the end of the world and a five hundred year journey through space, but will they be able to survive on this strange new world? The exciting new Remnants series continues with the thrilling second book, which, like the first book, ends with a cliffhanger. I can't wait to read book three.
