Characters come alive in this tale of desperation!

Alexis Harrington has a way with getting us inside her characters' heads and showing us their emotions. This is a terrific book, which I recommend highly. Her characters are multi-dimentional, real, honest and human. Lexie & I belong to the same chapter of Romance Writers of America, and she autographed a copy for me, which I will treasure. She tells me that the sub-plot is a chapter right out of Oregon history. This is a sweet, sexy, full-of-anguish story, and it gets my vote for RWA's Favorite book of the Year! If you love the old west, you must read this book
