What A Fun Series!

What a fun mystery series -- this is the 2nd book in the Dallas O'Connor fashion industry murder mystery series. By the way, you will learn all you ever wanted to know about the background of the fashion business, and it's wrapped up in a really cool mystery. (Pretty good for a chick-book! I like it 5-stars worth, and I'm manifestly not a chick.) Look for the author's other series, which starts with Reflections In The Nile, written under the name of Suzanne Frank. Buy them now. Very enjoyable amateur sleuth novel

She has nothing to do so when she receives an offer of a job on the opposite side of the country, she decides to take it. Dallas O'Connor is a stylist whose job is to make the fashions look so perfect people will believe in fantasy. Currently, Dallas works in Washington State for Tobian Charles, an up and coming firm that caters to the mobile male yuppie. On her first day, Dallas is impressed by the amount of money being spent to make the company a success. She feels her new job looks perfect until she sees Tobian Marconi's car go into the nearby water. She tries to rescue the trapped person, but fails. The victim is a model who happens to belong to a New York Mafia family. When another popular person dies, Dallas and everyone else become spooked. When a third death happens, Dallas packs her bags as she no longer does Washington and instead heads home to Texas.DESIGNED TO DIE is an enjoyable amateur sleuth mystery in which the motives are more critical to the reader than the actual homicides. Following the motives will lead the audience to an abundance of suspects, but weeding through the viable culprits is difficult yet feasible. Chloe Green has written a witty and breezy tale that will appeal to anyone who relishes an intelligent who-done-it.Harriet Klausner
