Powerful and Engaging!!

I found this novel Powerful and Engaging! Dr. Burgener's experience as a psychologist is pleasingly evident in his first novel. He teams this knowledge with an innate ability to simplify the most complex psychological subjects. In "Desert Journey" this ability helps him explore the most basic yet mystifying subject with which we all struggle - Relationships. The character "Jerry", a self-described adrenaline junkie who loves skydiving, flying helicopters, riding motorcycles and the martial arts, finds himself struggling after another failed relationship. He asks himself "How can someone considered so adept at facing fears, be so imprisoned by his emotional fears." Jerry's journey and encounters with the mystical "Tom" serves to bring clarity to why we repetitively act and react the way we do in relationships. Whether you are male or female, spiritual or non, I believe Dr. Burgener's novel will capture your attention from start to finish. I truly enjoyed reading "Desert Journey."
