A fitting ending for this demon Lord.

After the battle with Raenef IV, Raenef V disappears when he awakens from his weakened state, not knowing where he's at, he wanders off to some place familiar, causing his friends to fear the worst and take off in search of the missing lord. While the beginning volume started out a bit aimless, plot wise, the rest of the 7-volume series delved deeper into character motivations and made the plot emerged quite seamlessly. The art and atmosphere also improved from the beginning volumes. The action scenes feel more fluid, and the characters have a bit more definition to them. In this volume itself things wrap up nicely, I won't say whether negative or positive as I don't want to spoil anything, but I very much like how each character got their own bonus story chapters at the end, showing their lives after the climax of the main story. This whole series had me in stitches from beginning to end, and it was fun watching the characters grow and discoursing with each other. I recommend this series as a light-hearted rump through a fantasy world with lovable characters, but one needs the patience to get through the first volume on to the story.

One of the best

Demon Diary has got to be one of the best manga I've ever read. Wait, scratch that. It's actually manwha, seeing it comes from Korea. ^^ The art is just beautiful, as the other reviewers have mentioned. The storyline is good, but having switched authors after the first book, the second author probably changed the storyline. It's a shame though. Most people would expect a big war between the angels and demons, but nope. It ended with a so-so ending. RAENEF AND ECLIPSE DIDN'T EVEN KISS! That's pure evil!! I'm fuming with anger because of that. Other than that, it's a great buy. It's a shame that it ended so soon. Bye bye Demon Diary! T.T

The answer to the question...

Okay, since one of the reviewers was confused as to why the ending of volume seven never featured the older Raenef in the first volume, I decided to go ahead and clear that up. *Ahem* You'll notice that Demon Diary had two authors in the series. The first was Lee Chi Hyong, who left shortly after the first book came out due to college entrance exams. When Lee Yun Hee came along, she didn't pick up on that part of the story, therefore, it was never featured. Maybe they believed it was better just to leave it out...Who knows? I'm not going to spoil the ending for the readers, but I must say, it could have been slightly better. It was very good, but I was expecting more...Eh, whatever. It still remains my favorite series still!!

Perfect ending to a perfect series!

It sure is a shock that demon diary is already over! Lets face it, this series was way too short. But of all the ways for a series to end, I love the way demon diary ended. The series ended just the way it began, wonderfully. It ended with poor little Raenef finally gaining respect of the other demon lords, not to mention the fact that he also regained his memory. The last book was mainly just a recap, and was tying up loose ends, but it was a great book. I really hope this isn't the end of the demon lord's story!! I hope to see more of these characters soon! From the beginning i knew that demon diary had a lot of potential. But I never knew it would get so good so quickly! It had a complex plot, but still had enough room to jamm pack loads of hilarious and very cute moments in there. I just loved the story soo much, I'm sorry to see it end.Demon Diary is one of the very few series' that held my attention long enough for me to read the last novel. I always enjoyed it, and I probably always will. So with that said... GOODBYE DEMON DIARY!!!!!!

He's come so far, and it's not over yet!!

It's undeniably true that our little Raenef has come a LONG way from the hopeless little clutz we met in the first volume. He has built touching relationships with anyone who has come into contact with him, exspecially his mentor slash protector, Eclips. And even now as he is temporarily stuck in this evil mindset, you can see the real kind hearted Raenef poking through. But the tables take a very unexpected turn when the former Raenef attemps to kill his young heir, forcing a very torn Eclips to chose where his loyalties truly lie. By the end of the book your left with a rather strange but very interesting cliffhanger, which will torture me until the next book comes out!! All in all, this was one AWESOME volume, so be sure not to miss it!!This was book six out of seven in the first stretch of the demon diary series. I can tell that when it makes it's way to the end of volume seven, it's gonna be an extremely incredible series!! But don't worry, Demon Diary still has alot more to offer and the series doesn't end with the seventh book. So just hang in there and soon the REAL part of the story will FINALLY start to reveal itself!!

It's all about the comical relief!

Hi, Blaze here! I'm one of those people who just can't stand Manga without humor... And what's humor without the art to help express it? The entire Demon Diary series does Just that! The comical prases and mockery turns even the most cold-hearted character into arm-flailing chibi's. As for the story itself goes, DD is one of those series that just keeps getting better and more exciting with each installment. When the stoy gets a lot action, you can always bet that it will have you reading a lot faster, (and dont be too suprised if you find your jaw hanging open) And the art just makes it that more dramatic. In the end of the book and can always count on Erutis, Chris, Eclipse (the one who does not want to be in any part of the humorous zoo, but usually finds himself in the center of it.) and of course Demon Lord Raenef, making you laugh until you feel like your brain is going to slug out from your head. The best series I ever read and I fully recommend it! Love Humor? Love artistic manga? Love demon Lords who are unknowingly humiliating their servants? Then what are you waiting for? Start reading! ^_^b ~*Blaze*~Guardian Of The Wolves
