Delphi Client/Server Developer's Guide by Joseph D. Boot
from theory to practice

Joseph D. Booth does a pretty good job explaining the fundamentals of database designing, most of which i'd already knew, but i wish i had this book when i was learning them. he explains normalization in 4 pages, the no'nonsense way.he's very objective when talking about database servers.the only thing i didn't like is that it is based on delphi 2, so he misses to explain some components like decision cubes.other than that he covers quite well the rest (and more used)of the components, describing every single property and method.
