lots to get you thinking

Some of these essays are of very recent vintage. See Chapter 6, about defending American domestic liberties during a time of war. The arguments revolve around what measures are necessary to fight terrorism on the home front. Other chapters also offer pro and con on other issues. Like how polarised is the American electorate? Something quite timely in this year of 2008. Another issue is whether the judiciary is or should be activist in interpreting the constitution. Lots to get you thinking.
