Sherlock Holmes learns how to use his deductive reasoning through the mentoring of his American tutor, Amyus Crowe, and his brother, Mycroft Holmes. He has added help from Virginia Crowe and new friend, street urchin Matty. Together they unravel a mystifying and dangerous conspiracy. This is the first in a series of young Sherlock Holmes adventures. It drags a little in places, but hang in and you will enjoy it to the end.
