Aphra Connolly is back and being chased by some very dangerous people. What makes it even worse is that Aphra has to completely forget about her boyfriend, Seth, to keep him out of trouble too - but that's extremely hard for a girl when she's in Paris, the most romantic city in the world. Aphra quickly comes to realize that she really cannot mess around when her mother's contact in Paris turns up floating in the Seine with a deadly message stuffed into his mouth. So she sets off to confront the situation head-on. Sneaking away from the protection of her mom, Aphra heads out to find the mastermind behind all of the danger. What she doesn't know is that she's accidentally uncovered Seth's location and has put him in danger, as well. Can Aphra get herself (and Seth for that matter), out of this sticky situation - and get herself out of trouble once and for all? These books are so much fun. First there is Aphra, who I think is hilarious. The adventures that she went on with her mom in this volume of the series were the best yet, and I could absolutely not put the book down. Also, Aphra's relationship with Seth was great, as always. Seth sounds so adorable, and to see the two of them in action together was fun and exhilarating. The writing was also good and kept me in a great amount of suspense. Overall, I really enjoyed this third installment in the Aphra Connolly series (and how I hope Linda Gerber decides to continue with more!) and highly suggest that if you haven't had a chance to read any of them you pick them right up. And on that note, I don't think it is necessary to read the books in order, as you kind of get caught up with previous adventures within the first few pages. So what are you waiting for? Grab one of these books today and get set to go on a great and suspenseful adventure! Reviewed by: Tasha

Best book ever

I have been hooked on the death by series ever since death by bikini. I couldnt stop reading these books. I have read them none stop in 2 hours. Since this was the last book I took it a little slower.I really hope Linda writes a nother book in this series. The way the book ends she left room for another story or not. This is the most action packed book yet. If you liked the other death by books you will love this book. It keeps yo on edge from the begging. READ THIS BOOK!!!! You will not regret it. P.S. Seth is still Romeo and Aphra (by the way pronounced Afra) is still Juliet. Ryan is still iffy to trust.

Enchanting Review: Death By Denim

DEATH BY DENIM LINDA GERBER Mystery YA Sleuth Speak Rating: 4.5 Enchantments Aphra Connolly and her mother have been living under the radar in France, all the time knowing they could be discovered by the mole and his associates at any moment. Unfortunately for them as the story kicks off, Aphra realizes they've been discovered and the two are forced on the run on to Paris. When the mole kills one of her mother's few contacts, he leaves behind a cryptic message, one that puts her and Seth in direct danger. Unwilling to do nothing, Aphra unknowingly plays straight into the mole's hands. Will she and Seth survive or will the mole get what he finally wants? The third book in Ms. Gerber's DEATH BY series is as riveting and highly entertaining as the first two in the series. Ms. Gerber does an excellent job pulling the reader into the story, keeping them alongside Aphra as she plays the role of bait and rushes to save Seth and his family from the mole and his associates who have discovered where the family has been hiding out in Italy. The question of who Aphra can trust is relied upon heavily in the story as Ryan's behavior starts to get a little suspicious when the two are on the train for Italy which is one of my favorite parts of the book. I loved the scene where the two are being chased by the smoking man and are desperate to find a place to hide for the night. When Aphra unfortunately plays right into the mole's trap, with Seth falling in right alongside her when her life is threatened, can the two teens find a way to escape or will the mole's plan of revenge on the two families finally succeed? What I like best about Aphra is her willingness to dive into any situation, which sometimes gets her into more trouble. The scenes where she and Seth are being held in the factory are some of my favorite parts of the book, making the reader wonder if there really is a way for the two to escape the madman that is the mole. Ms. Gerber does an excellent job turning the mole into one of the creepiest characters I've read in quite awhile and the chase scene in the factory is one that will have you holding your breath. Readers looking for a fast paced mystery read won't go wrong picking up DEATH BY DENIM. Linda Gerber lives with her husband, kids and one very naughty puppy in Dublin, Ohio. Back in Action

After I finished the second book in Linda Gerber's series, Death by Latte, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Death By Denim. I'm a big fan of the series and I'm so glad that I got to read the book as quickly as I did. Aphra is back and she's on the run with her mother, this time in France. This book has action, dynamite, a few steamy scenes, and a whole lot of . . . well, awesomeness. My only issue with the book - it was too short. Don't get me wrong. It was no shorter than either of the other books, but I was just wanting MORE. I will definitely be waiting for a fourth book. The overall arc of these three novels seemed to be wrapped up, but she definitely left room for another book in the future.

Another great and suspenseful spy adventure

Aphra and her mother are on the run. Unsure of who to trust and unable to go home, they hide in France, biding their time until the can catch The Mole, the man responsible for the turmoil in their lives. When their cover is blown, they flee to Paris, where Aphra's mom has a contact. But when that contact turns up dead, bound and gagged with denim, it's clear that The Mole may closer than originally thought. And when Aphra heads to Italy to save Seth Mulo, she inadvertently leads him right into The Mole's trap... Death by Denim, the third book in Linda Gerber's fun, action-packed, and suspenseful series, is just as riveting as its prequels. Gerber's style is not only modern and down to earth, but cunning and intelligent as well. Fans of the series will be happy to see that Death by Denim focuses on the shifting alliances and the reluctant trust that the characters must put in each other in order to finally track down their nemesis, and get out alive, and provides an answer to a few questions. Aphra is an engaging and lively narrator whose bravery and smarts readers will admire. Equal parts action, romance, and mystery, Death by Denim is a fun-filled and engrossing read that will appeal to fans of Ally Carter's Gallagher Girls series. And once again, Gerber leaves readers hanging, with the suggestion of perhaps another sequel...
