A determined little girl puts Santa through his paces - and exchanges several removable messages - in this sweet Christmas story full of holiday surprises. Dear Santa Claus, I saw a man in a store today who said he was Santa Claus. He was dressed like you, but was it you? It's time for Holly to make her Christmas list, but she has a few questions for Santa Claus first. So she decides to write notes to Santa instead and is amazed when he replies - five times! Readers will be as excited as Holly to reach inside real envelopes and find her missives from Santa. Along with the removable letters, they'll discover an advent calendar, a Santa Claus ornament, a foldout reindeer guide (with answers to common questions, plus favorite reindeer jokes), and one last, special treasure that Holly finally dares to wish for.
My son has enjoyed this book for two years now. We like it so much that I bought it for every child we know. I wouldn't recommend it for under 4 though. There are a lot of cards and papers to keep together.
Love it!

My children absolutely love this book. Pulling out the letters from the attached envelopes is so clever. We couldn't live without this book during Christmas.
A charming story

Holly and her brother meet Santa at the big store and when they get home; her mother helps her brother write his Christmas list. Holly decides to write a letter. To her surprise, she gets a reply from Santa. They correspond and eventually she gets to go for a ride in the sleigh. I would say more but I don't want to spoil it. The artwork is good and what makes the book fun is the fact you get to open envelopes and read Santa's letters. The envelopes and letters use a heavy bond paper so they will stand up to general wear and tear.
