Beautiful and original

Another wonderful book for my grandchildren. Pictures were gorgeous and they keep reading them over and over. Thank you.

Wonderful Platform for Parent/Child Discussion

This is the 2nd book in the series, and it is as wonderful as the first. Savannah Blue, the Great Dane, provides an insightful perspective on what it is like to be sick and to face scary things like doctors and poking thermometers. The book is gentle and comforting, with Savannah's questions, (such as "When you get sick do have to take icky medicine? Do you get a treat afterward?") providing the perfect chance to discuss difficult topics with your children. It makes me think back to when I hated visiting the dentist (especially for fluoride treatments) as a child, and my parents would promise to get me a strawberry milkshake afterward if I was brave. However, the book would also be appropriate for discussing serious illnesses with your child. Savannah's child-like honesty could prove helpful in discussing the illness of a pet, friend, or relative.

This delightful book is beautifully illustrated and makes us laugh everytime we read it!

As good as a blanket

This book is like a dear friend or a treasured stuffed animal or a blanket. I gave it to my granddaughter who has loved it and drags it around the house with her. It's wonderful to be a part of Savannah Blue's obvious self-realizations as she writes to her dear friend Calla Ruth.I can't wait to see what happens next...
