A sweet witchy read in a sweet Small Town

Awe, sweet. Unfortunately there are only 2 books in Dahlia’s series, so I don’t have another one to read. Dahlia died only a few weeks ago and found herself in a sort of in-between realm called Eastwind. She also discovered she’s not only a rare type of witch, but she’s also going to be helping solve crimes for the police department. Shortly after she delivers flowers to an inn, she hears there has been a murder at that same inn that obviously happened shortly after her delivery. She is on the case to find the killer, but will she be killed before she’s able to tell her partner who the killer is?! It’s always an adventure in Eastwind when Dahlia and her friend Nora are around and it’s always fun (except the times when they’re in a sticky situation facing their second death). I’m surprised there aren’t anymore stories that involve Dahlia and her newfound powers. This book left an opening for so many things to happen. Like Dante - it’s obvious they’ll be a couple. And Dahlia still has so much to learn in her new life (or death?) Alas, I’ll treat this book as a choose-your-own-ending where the god guy/gal always wins and the gal always gets to be with the one she loves. My next choice of book to read is #1 of a 3 book series by Dorothy Howell and it’s called: “Seams Like Murder (A Sewing Studio Mystery Book 1)”.
