Good times are back

This was a very welcome return to form for the Destroyer after some lacklustre times and the thing that pleased me most was the fact that Remo was facing somebody as superhuman as him. Although the recent Nazi stories were taking Remo and Chiun back to how we like them (bickering and smartmouthing each other) the villains were hardly much of a challenge so there was a bit of a "ho hum" flavour to them. This story was great though in that we had somebody who could damage Remo which gave some much needed tension to the story and which led to a great showdown. A really entertaining read.

So far the best yet!

At present this is one of the best Destroyer books lately and the last few have been pretty good. I enjoyed the flashback into the past books, it was tied in nicely with this story. Over the years it's gotten so Remo can't be touched or hurt by anyone so it was refreshing to see a little bit of a reality check given to Remo, I won't say anymore. The book was definately fun and enjoyable to read if you're into the Destroyer don't miss this one.

Glad To See Old Friends

I really enjoyed this book. I like the fact that the author went to the past to bring back an good, worthy old nemesis. I hope to read many more in this series.

Grrrreat

The destroyer is still with us. It is so good to see Remo revisiting his past and at the same time moving on and growing. I was finding it hard to believe that afte 20 yrs. of Sinanju Remo was still as slow witted as he liked to appear. This is a great example of a Destroyer novel, the familiar is there but the new stuff (such as Remo's new intelligence" has been introduced in a natural way sympathetic with the methods of Sinanju. Tell the author, tell the publisher, I will continue to buy. Thanks for a Grrrreat read.

Well Worth The Wait

I have been waiting for this Destroyer adventure for years. I was very excited when I found out the authors were touching on part of the main character's past (for those uninitiated in Sinanju, Remo Williams is a an assassin employed by the US government who has fought standard villains but also vampires, androids and ancient gods.) I do not want to give anything about the story away. Let's just say it was well worth the wait and the story made this longtime fan very, very happy ;)
