Tells the truth

Deadbeat Daddy is written very truthfully and factualy. This is an eye opener for other mothers who have had to raise their children without support from the children's father even if the courts ordered support. There wasn't any support provided in this particular case and Ms. Garretson "tells it like it is". Please remove the detrimental review of this book-that review was written without any knowledge whatsoever of the events that happened at that time.

An Insightful Read

"Deadbeat Daddy" is a riveting story of self discovery that so many people can relate to. I would venture to say that most women, at some point in life, have made a poor decision when it comes to men, but not all of us have the strength to admit we were wrong and take the steps to make things right. This book is not just about the child support system, but about Elaine's journey to overcome the obstacles that life has brought her way, described with humor and wit. Elaine's courage in the face of numerous challenges is inspirational. I'd like to think that given the same situation, I would be able to find that same courage and determination within myself. "Deadbeat Daddy" made me believe that it's possible and I commend Elaine for all of the positive changes that she made in her own life and the life of her daughter.

OUTSTANDING A HELPFUL & MUST READ

The author does a wonderful job in outlining her battle and story with one of society's problems the lack of men taking and paying their responsiblities in the caring for their children. The book was excellently written and very enjoyable. I could not put it down. The author includes in great detail an interesting story of her trials and tributations and experiences in her life and her child's life, the sucesses and accomplishments including a long 30 year battle with the SYSTEM to finally obtain her child support. A must read for anyone in this situation. I recommend it strongly.

This book, Deadbeat Daddy, gives a fantastic look into the child support system and how easily children can "slip through the cracks". The writing is outstanding.....easy to read and follow and truly heartfelt. I could feel the emotions of the author at every point in the book....from the happy times to the bad times....A true seller to anyone looking to be inspired by a book about love, hope, honesty and reality.
