A treasure hunt on the Texas border

The Trailsman is hired to track down a magnificent saddle, the ownership of which is claimed by several parties as he leads a group south through the desert after the outlaw who stole it. Fargo is suspiscious of everyone's motive for wanting the saddle and in due course he finds out exactly why. Bandits, Mescaleros, and even a cavalry detail riding with Fargo prove to be some of the dangers the Trailsman faces as he draws nearer to the coveted saddle. Yes, he also has his dalliances which are always a part of Fargo's adventures, but he may have met his match here with a strawberry blonde who is as trailwise as he is. A good adventure.
