Reminiscent: Yes! Knock off: NO!

I just finished reading this book, so it's still very fresh in my head. I also read a few of the reviews and I believe they are being a bit harsh. The book was great and I did see some similarities to the Betsy series (self-centered blonde vampire obsessed with shoes, clothes, and purses that are the most expensive, most in style; wanting to find love, but that's where the similarities end!) It's a very cute story about a born vampire that wants to help others find love and starts a dating service (she also needed the money to pay for her addiction to shoes, clothes, and purses). There's a bit of a mystery that she has to solve while avoiding her unwanted attraction to a "made" vampire (apparently that's a big no-no in this vampire world). So, needless to say, but I'm gonna say it anyway, I liked the book, (even told my sister about it) and I can't wait for the sequel to come out. I really think you'll enjoy this book.

What a fun read!

I loved the concept of a vampire dating service. Kimberly Raye's fresh and funny take on the vampire legend had me laughing throughout the book. Lil pulled me into her world and wouldn't let me go. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for future books in this series.

So funny!

I love Kimberly Raye's other books, which are funny, but I wasn't so sure I would like this one. I don't usually read vampire novels. But it was hysterical! And sexy! And I couldn't put it down! I can't wait for her next book, DEAD AND DATELESS, to read more about Lil. She also had a really hot bounty hunter in this and I thought he was really great. Can't wait to read more about Ty.

Vampire Love taken to a whole new level

Kimberly Raye, one of my favorite authors, has taken on the vampire concept in Dead End Dating with hilarious results. When Lily, her heroine, decides to open a dating service, you can expect some strange hook-ups. I loved the way Kimberly's vampire world works, especially the family. Talk about your parents from hell. If Lily can get her own lovelife in order, it will be a miracle. I really enjoyed Lily's voice and couldn't put the book down. I'm glad this is a series and can't wait for the next installment. Buy it, you'll like it.

Suberb paranormal romance

Vampires are either born or made and Lil Marchette belongs to the upper social class that was born. That means her eternity mate has to be a born vampire with a high fertility rating in order to have children. Made vampires can't have children which leaves bounty hunter Ty Bonner off Lil's list as prospective mates if she was searching which she is not. She is interested in getting her matchmaking business Dead End Dating, which services vampires, humans and anything in between off the ground. She meets the oldest, vampire in her father's Kinko like store and if she can get the shy vamp fixed up with his eternity mate, she will make a good start in making her business the place to go. She also wants to fix up a snobby wealthy boring born vampire with someone who cares about him. This will keep her occupied because she thinks too much of Ty, a bounty hunter made vampire who is chasing after a serial killer, even though a relationship between them is definitely taboo. Readers who like paranormal romances will want to read DEAD END DATING. The sparks that fly between Lil and Ty are so hot it feels as if the book will spontaneously combust. The heroine marches to her own drummer and doesn't always follow the dictates of born vampires socially which leads to some very biting episodes. Kimberly Raye has written a magical tale.
