hard to take it seriously

maybe I had too high of hopes for this book:( the idea was good but the execution was very much lacking. the writing felt like it couldn't decide between being serious or goofy and the dialogue was forced and awkward. reads like a fanfiction but like a fanfiction made in 2014 by a middle schooler
