An exciting book

After reading bad reviews I was at first sceptical I was greatly mistaken. This was an action packed book. The troubles that our heros have from the start after the plane crash until the end of the book sets the tone. The billionaire Saudi prince that plays the villain conjurs up images of Osama Bin Laden. The acts of terrorism that the evel prince comes up with are very original. The evil forces attempt to nuke Washington D.C. will keep you on the edge of your seat. The ending is veryexciting as well with the prince recieving Saudi justice for his deeds. A very exciting book.

This book has you from the very first chapter to the end

I personelly thought this book was well written, and very exciting to read. Larry Bond has action from the first page to the very last page. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes military suspense.

Entertaining time-filler in a big way!

A well-paced actioner featuring the main characters from THE ENEMY WITHIN, Col Peter Thorn and the FBI's Helen Gray. This time a plane carrying UN weapons inspectors crashes in Russia, and investigations lead to the trail of blackmarket tactical nuclear warheads for sale . . . and what interest does a Saudi prince have in these weapons? The outcome may be predictable and the characters may seem like they have leapt out from a LETHAL WEAPON movie, but the strengths of this book are the story, the research behind the weapons themselves and how they could be transported into the US and a good, fast-pacing and simple prose. The action scenes are undeniably entertaining, and the bit that made me laugh was the bad guy's last word before being shot . . . Noooooooo! That is sooo Hollywood! In fact, why hasn't this(or any other of Larry Bond's novels, for that matter) been made into a movie yet?

I'm sick of not sleeping every time I get a Bond book.

Another page-turner. Thorn and Gray may be Bond's version of the bionic couple but he manages to rivet the reader through a predictable, but nonetheless exciting plot. The fact that this is not just a "war book" and does have significant character development is testimony to Bond's growth as a writer. The synopsis is a great capsule of the story so if you like the way it sounds, you'll love the way it reads. Just don't forget to go to work in the morning!

Another great book in the Bond tradition...

This book features the same main characters who were introduced in The Enemy Within, and it follows a similar story line. Bond's technical knowledge makes his writing more realistic. Although his plots seem a bit unlikely in places, they do entertain. If you're a Larry Bond fan, or perhaps a Tom Clancy fan, you'll enjoy this new techno-thriller.
