Great Improvement over the previous book in the Series!

The seventh book in the American Century series focuses on Prudence Deforge and her self discovery. When we first meet Prudence, or Prue as her friends and family call her, she is a somewhat awkward teenager not really feeling like she fits in her skin. With a little help from a new found friend she has some new doors opened for her. We also encounter Prue's distant cousin Bobby Stuart again. But this time he is a big time music star. While being a big star may be one thing he starts to develop an interest into the undesirables that the star life can sometimes bring. Will Bobby continue down the bad road or make a turn around? One of my favorite things about this book was the fact that it focuses on Prue. I feel like past women in this series has been somewhat confident in who they were, especially Prue's great aunt Lylah, while throughout this book we really see Prue grow and find out who she really is. Her story shows us that all we need sometimes is a little bit of encouragement. Great improvement over the previous book in the series, which for me seemed to drag.
