Davy Help Its a ghost

It was a wonderful childrens book my kids loved it

Fun Bed-time Reading!

I loved this book! It is the right length for a bed time story, not too short to be disappointing for my daughter nor too long that she actually falls asleep before the end. The story teaches two important things. One is that the things we fear, and due to said fear blow out of proportion, are really harmless and cannot hurt us, or under a different light, we would not fear at all. The second, and more subtle lesson, is that in a time of need, a family can pool together, comfort each other, and come up with solutions to the problem. That as long as we have family we are not alone. The author does relay these lessons in a fun and nonthreatening way. Even though this is a ghost story, there is nothing very scary about the book. The illustrations are well drawn and vivid as the artist uses great colors. My 5 year old was captivated by the drawings. However, there are 2 reasons why I gave this book a 4 instead of a 5. One, and this is just me probably being "too protective", but the parents go off and leave all the little children with the oldest son, who really isn't old enough to handle the little children's fear of the "ghost". And second, this is not one of the books my daughter keeps coming back to whenever she picks out her bedtime story.
