The Little Boy is very sick, and his father is not even there. Only his mother, Nanny, Nanny's cat and the dog are there to take care of him. Before his father left to go fight in the war he his son about Davin. Davin can help told a sick child. The main characters in the e book are always getting into some kind of trouble. The main characters - "action figures" are a Civil War Bugle Boy, a Blustery Sergeant Major, a princess, Robin Hood, the Indian Chief Chingachgook, and Pereus {a Greek hero} some how meet up and try and save the Little Boy and Davin. The Nanny's cat s a big obsticle for the "action figures." When the "action figures" go on this dangerous adventure to help the Little Boy, the Nanny's cat tires to sabotage the "action figures" adventure. Throughout the story the characters encounter problems just like humans do. I think this is a good quality in a book. Don't you? I could relate more to the book this way. I noticed that the author kept changing from the story book to the real life story. This keeps the book interesting. This story has a lot of adventure. For example, in basically all the chapters the "action figures" are trying to help or save someone. While I was reading the book I made many connections. This book reminds me of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. They both have similar problems; such as fighting good guys. Do you have a cat? My cats act just like the Nanny's cat does. They both like to purr and scratch their nails. Since I had many connections the book I enjoyed it more. I recommend this novel to people who like fantasy. It has adventure magic and most of all.... friendship. Anyone who looks for these things in a book will.... LOVE IT!! It has a little bit of everything. Will Davin ever get to the Little Boy? Does Davin have the power to heal a sick child? Can " action figures" really come to life? Will the Nanny's cat eat the "action figures?" Who is Davin? With all the adventure you cannot put Davin down. "Davin is a story within a story." Davin is a type of book that you wish could go on forever. Did you know that Dan Gordon and Zaki Gordon are the authors of this wonderful fantasy book? They wrote this book as father and son. Dan is a screenwriter who has written feature films. Zaki attended Columbia University and is making a feature film directorial debut. Dan and Zaki Gordon both like reading and writing fantasy books.

Great all time book!

The book was really good because the toys talked it was really magical and funny at the same time! It was so good I read it in 2 days! It was a really good book!
