This was one of the funniest books I ever read, first back in the mid-80s. The only one which parallels it is Sheila Levine is Dead and Living in New York, also by Gail Parent. It is a shame she didn't use her talents more this way!
I laughed aloud throughout the entire book

A self-indulgent, egotistical "lady-killer" caught in the sexual revolution of the 70s. My how the tables turn on him, and we get to hear it all. If you dated through the 70s, this is a must read. The snappy dialogue, witty insights, and irreverent humor are vintage Gail Parent. It took four months find, but it is a treasure.
Eligible Jewish boy gets run over by Women's Lib! Funny!!!

If you don't know from Jewish, read this; if you do, read this. It's hysterically funny. David Meyer quips and querys his way through the 60's having fun and in control of his women. Then along comes the 70's and he gets run over by one of his own, a free-spirited liberated Jewish girl, and the shoe gets put on the other foot for a wonderful, funny change! Just a really great read--if I could write like this I would! This is one Goyim who is going to go read some more of Ms. Parent...
