enchanting

This woman could teach anyone to love poetry. Her work is fresh and brilliant. I can not put it down.

Glorious mystic tripped-out words of genuine beauty & truth

Brooke's poems remind of what William Blake would sound like if he was reincarnated as a woman today.I highly recommend this book.

a literary heavyweight

Just when I thought I was doomed to read poets who had died 50- 100 years ago, Brooke Axtell came along. Her poetry is phenomenal......socially aware without being preachy, hopeful without a menacing self-help subtext. In a world of self help books tailored to the pocket books of gen x and gen y'ers, Axtell's poetry has no "agenda". It is absolutely brilliant and well within the literary prowess of Plath, Nin and Dickinson. Her poetry speaks to the issues of "everywoman". I believe her words will be read for centuries to come.
