This may be a picture book, but it is definitely a story for older children. My seven-year-old grandson was mesmerized by the illustrations, but I'm not sure he followed any part of the story but the battle at the end. Still, he insisted on hearing it again and again over our weekend visit. To me, it brought back wonderful memories of seeing Vanessa Redgrave in the 1967 movie Camelot. We were both very happy with this book.
