This was really a great vampire story - Lois Tilton is definitely one of my favorite vampire authors. No cheesey romance, just great horror!

This book was one of the best vampire stories I've read in a long time. Suspenseful and psychologically tense at the same time! Wolff, an SS officer, is also a vampire, and he is given a mission in the Antarctic, where the sun never shines in the winter. After reading this book, I immediately had to look for Lois Tilton's other vampire book, Vampire Winter, which shares similar themes and is also very good.
