Consistant and Excellent Addition to Guardians of Eternity

After being completely let down by another author in this genre who just released her addition to her series, I was afraid to read Darkness Everlasting because I loved the first two books so much. No let down here though! I loved the book and the addition of Darcy as the latest mate. Styx is a babe, with all the macho brute stud mixed with sensitivity that made me love Dante and Viper. Then there is Levit, my new love interest, who has become a must have in these stories. I appreciate that we get to see all the previous males and mates in credible additions, not some deus ex machina appearance. One gets the feeling we have not seen the last of Darcy's mom and hopefully her sisters and Salvatore. I personally am hoping for Cezar to be released early, and then a book that brings everyone back for a combined story. I love these characters and the way Alex/Deb writes. I do think it is important to read the books in order because they are in essence continuing stories. To those of you looking for a new and different vampire series, I cannot say enough good about this author and her book. My advice, buy all 3 at once because you will be upset if you finish one and have to wait more than a few minutes to pick up the next one! One more comment,unlike another author who has seemingly become a legend in her own mind, you can actually send e-mail directly to her and she will actually read AND ANSWER mail personally.

I liked this series and can't wait for the next one to come out. I am an avid reader of this type of book. Readers that liked this series should check out Kresley Cole's Immortal series awesome.

Darcy Rocks....

I really enjoyed reading this book. Darcy came across as a really strong and witty person. I loved how the author portrayed Darcy and Styx. I didn't have any issues with the plot or how the characters interacted with one another. You should definitely read this book.

Absolutely Great

This is the third of the "Guardians of Eternity" series and I think it is the best one. All are good and reading them in order is the best way to read them. Each character in the new book is introduced in the previous one and I found it easier to get into the books with this small amount of background. But really, these are good books and if you like this type these are great. I can hardly wait for the next one to come out. Styx is the Annasso of the Vampires, in other words he is the ruler of the Vamps. IF you read the second book EMBRACE THE DARKNESS you already know how he has been made ruler. Now he spends his time trying to keep peace among the different races who inhabit the world along side humans. The Werewolves are trying to revolt and Styx has found out they are hunting a young human woman. He sets out to find her first. Darcy Smith is an orphan. She had to quit school before graduation and she works at whatever job she can get. She is working as a bartender when Styx finds her minutes before the Weres can grab her. So he grabs her and she wakes to find she is a prisoner of the most lucious sexy man she has ever seen. While keeping her safe from the Weres and trying to find out why they are do desperate to find her, Styx finds himself caring more and more for the human urchin he has captured. He had been going to use her as a bargaining chip with the Weres but now he only wants to protect her. She is more than human but no one seems able to decide what else is in the mix. As the romance gets hotter, the danger to Darcy and Styx gets greater. How can Styx earn her trust and her love when he is so determined to keep her safe? I really loved this one and I encourage you to find all three if you want some good reads. I bought the first one WHEN DARKNESS COMES, then had to have the second EMBRACE THE DARKNESS, and finally DARKNESS EVERLASTING came out. Now I have to wait for the next one. Oh Well, at least I know it will be coming out soon.

Styx has been placed in the role of Anasso. As the leader of all vampires, he must look out for their best interests in the demonic world. She doesn't know what; just that she has always felt different. When a handsome man and his two goons enter the bar where she works, Darcy finds herself shying away from the stranger's blatant appraisal. Escaping this man becomes her first and foremost desire, but instead of being able to just disappear, she comes face to face with the most stunning and mysterious man she has ever seen. Styx kidnaps Darcy preparing to hold her as his hostage as a means to get the Weres to cooperate. He doesn't want to desire her, but he does. As the days pass, Styx and Darcy's lives become so intertwined that the reasons for her remaining with him become obsolete. Styx knows one thing and one thing only - Darcy will never be turned over to the Weres, even if he has to keep her hostage forever. Since reading EMBRACE THE DARKNESS, I have been looking forward to Styx 's story. He caught my attention with his loyalty to the former Anasso and while he did not want to take the now deceased vampire's place, I am glad he did. A product of the ancient Aztecs, Styx is striking with his burnished brown skin and his long braided hair. Like Darcy, I became enamored with him almost immediately. Darcy's characterization made me smile, and I often loved how she played upon Styx 's emotions and teased him. The love they came to find with each other is truly eternal. DARKNESS EVERLASTING releases in May 2008. Of course, after having read it, I now find myself craving even more from this talented author. I'm thinking that Salvatore's story would be perfect as the next book in this wonderful and addicting series. I wonder if he would be attracted to an enamored book reviewer who has a thing for Weres?
