Family History

I'm 20 years old, and have never lived to see such hard times. I could not stop reading this book. The author is such a wonderful storyteller. After reading this book, i feel privlidged to know the author.

What a wonderfull history

What a wonderful collection of stories that give a glimpse into life and times in the early part of the 20th century. It was a great way to learn stories about my father and other family members in a entertaining and detailed way.

Dark Brown is the River

With this entertaining and touching memoir the author does an excellent job giving the reader a glimpse of what life was like for a child during the depression. I really enjoyed reading about the exploits of the author and her family.
