Thomas Chesterson, who had lost the gamble, could only offer his sister as a prize as his money was held in trust til he was 25. But his sister, the now bethrothed, Frederica Chesterson, decided to do something about the sistuation. She could not just sit and wait out her fate, instead she devised a plan to try and prove that the man was unsuitable for marriage. She infiltrated Gavin's house and posed as an assisstant house keeper, determined to find some secret about him that would give her the perfect reason not to marry the man. She did discover that the man has secrets, but Frederica discovered things about herself at the same time... *** What a wonderful book! It was perfect, with just the right amout of romantic suspense to twang the heart strings. I enjoyed every moment of the book. If you are looking for an escape, this is the book for you! Frederica is a perfect heroine with wit and a lively personality. LIkewise, Gavin comes across as someone with his head in the right place. Great read!
