It's true what they say....

Dare to Dream was a story of courage and resiliency among other attributes. Desi was an struggling artist who was very passionate about her work until she was faced with a situation that almost cost her everything. Her business partner was a pesky man who was more concerned with working her than the business. Much to her dismay, Desi spent valuable time running from unfavorable plights opposed to facing them head on and working through them. And then came Lincoln.... Lincoln was the owner of the bed & breakfast located in Sag Harbor, that Desi's soror sent her to, to recoup after a near death experience. Little did they know all would be in for a surprise. Lincoln was determined and persistent despite the fight Desi put up. With his tenacity and the unsolicited aid of one of his nosy employees, things worked out perfectly. (Not all snooping is futile ;)) Nevertheless, the word play in this story was descriptive and involving. I just love when I read and vividly imagine the characters, it's almost as if you're living in the moment. I can not stress enough, the power of communicating effectively, it will definitely spare us all some heartaches. The underlying message in this tale was loud and clear. This was a gratifying read for me and I suppose I'll look for the others in this series, to probe into the lives of the other sorors. I guess I'm reading out of sequence, because this was the last of the series. I hope the others don't disappoint me.

Touching

This was a very touching story. The trials that the protaginist went through would have made a normal person give up. She had endured alot and just when she thought things were looking up, trouble strikes again. With the help of a friend she leaves town only to run into a past love that she's never gotten over.

Da Return

Donna Hill has return to romance to join three of her former print mates in producing the last of the Sizzling Summer series. The books are set on a historically black beach. When Desiree art gallery gets destroy she does what she does best and that's withdraws from everyone. Lincoln Davenport was once her soulmate but when he finds her again or she unexpectedly turns up on his B & B on Sag Harbor he begins to wonder and soon realizes he never stopped loving her but he wants her for everything she is. When things get rocky and the cat and mouse chase begins Lincoln has made it known he is in the battle to win.
