A collection of stories from the unlimited imagination of a boy from the age of eight through eleven. How the rabbit got its cotton tail How the whale lost its teeth A dog that talks to a cherry Daniel Kenning was born and lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. From a very young age he had a passion for storytelling and drawing pictures. This compilation is a collection of stories that Daniel penned from Grade 3 through Grade 5, while attending Emerson Elementary. Daniel was fortunate to be surrounded by teachers that supported his love of writing, and they helped him to 'publish' and share his books in the school library. When Daniel passed away from brain cancer at the age of 35, his original collection of stories was discovered. We decided to publish these children's stories to share the creative mind of the boy that Daniel was in hopes of inspiring other children to share their own unique, creative gifts. All proceeds from Daniel's stories go towards initiatives that support inclusion, acceptance and diversity.
