They've been kidnapped in their mother's station wagon and left in the brutally hot desert with no food or water. Danger in the Desert Review

In this book two kids Robbie and Scott, got kidnapped by a stranger. They were in a station wagon that was getting gas and their mom left them in the car because she had to pay for the gas. After they got kidnapped the stranger left them in the car in the middle of the desert. Scott tried to drive the car to the freeway in Glendale, Arizona. But the car ran out of gas. If you remembered they were getting gas. I think other 4th graders should read this book because it is very interesting.

Great reading for Fourth Graders

I read this book prior to my fourth grader reading it and enjoyed it from front to back. Practical life skills are incorporated into an intriguing story about an unplanned adventure two young boys suddenly become part of. My fourth grader could not put it down - there are good lessons to be learned from this story and many great topics for discussion at home, as one works their way thru the story.

Arizona desert adventure at its best!

My class (fourth grade) and I enjoyed reading, Danger in the Desert. Set among the backdrop in the Arizona desert, in the sizzling summer, my class and I were sweating right along with the two brothers, Scott and Robbie. Not only was this an exciting adventure to read but also gave us some real life lessons on desert survival. Ms. Fields really did her homework on educating us on the harsh realities of the summer desert and ways to survive. Told in the voice of Scott, and eleven year old, many young readers will have a character they can relate to. We enjoyed this book, many of my students are reading it again on their own.

The best survival book I have ever read

This is a great book. It's about these two kids who get kidnapped and they only have a car, two root bears , and a couple of lifesavers. It is a great book to read. I recomend it.
