Wonderful story!

DANCING AT THE HARVEST MOON made my fantasies of rekindling old flames go sky-high. How I would love to be able to do what Maggie did! I cheered for her for finding herself and learning how to be herself and laughed at the levity provided by her friend, Claire. This story is TRUE romance.

Heart warming with a twist

This was my first book by this writer, and was very surprised of the tale she has woven into 'Dancing at the harvest moon'. It is written very well, and gives you that warm feeling of falling in love all over again for the first time. I sure recommend this book to anyone, from age 17 to age 107.alterego in Tulsa OK.

Wonderful escape reading

I know that many of the reviewers are right...the plot was a bit thin and I did get tired of the repetition of the name "Robert Flaubert", but I had to give this book 5 stars because the love story just drew me in. I loved it. Sure, it was a fantasy and I highly doubt it could happen in real life, but not every book has to hit the reader with the harsh reality of life. The relationship between Maggie and Eliot was very powerful and I don't care if Robert was perfect, I still fell in love with him, and with Eliot too. So, if you're looking for some good escape reading for a beautiful fall day, take this book along.

Beautiful story

This is a wonderfully-told story of a man's love of nature and the deep love between one woman and one man to be found only once in a lifetime.I was amazed by the fantasizing and conjecturing that Maggie went through at such times as when she sees flowers on her doorstep or the phone rings. It was quite realistic, and my heart beat faster each time, as I felt her anxiety. A beautiful illustration (a loon, a great blue heron, the Harvest Moon . . .), credited to Carl E. Hileman, graces the start of each new chapter. Combined with the beautiful story, including letters written between two young lovers, these illustrations wove magic in my heart. This book is a treasure. If you enjoy it, try _All the Winters that Have Been_, by Evan Maxwell.

It was a beautifully written novel...

Reading it was as if you stepped into a very rich and personal world which somewhat reflects situations all of us can be in. The novel was engrossing to me, and very visual... I could almost see the Harvest Moon and the beautiful landscapes described within it. I sincerely reccomend..
