Beautiful memoir...

I say "memoir" because that is what this book is--it is not just erotica, although it is indeed erotic. The author is a very good writer and you get very involved in her story. I am surprised that she has such a good memory, but she said she used diaries to help her along but still, she must just remember a lot of this in her own memory. She is very honest about herself and about her relationship with her "Daddy"--she goes into the psychology behind their life together, and is downright intellectual about it much of the time. This novel is also something of a time capsule of the 1980's, and since she and I are about the same age, that was very interesting to me. If you just want a good, erotic, funny, poignant novel to read, you can't go wrong with "Daddy's Girl." Especially if you have the least bit interest in the "Daddy's Girl" fetish. Highly recommended.

Not what you'd expect, everything you'd want

This book is amazing, seriously. I laughed out loud--a lot--and nearly cried; such intense emotions were evoked that I actually had to put the book down at one point! The main character is petulant, wild, sassy and has a ton of attitude, and the relationship between her and Daddy is both erotic and loving. What's interesting is the cover of the book and the back blurb make it sound like a rather stereotypical porn novel, but once you crack it open you realize it has so much more to offer. This is a book I'll be rereading over and over, and not just for the naughty bits!!
