Designed to accompany The Anatomy and Physiology Learning System, 4th Edition, by Edith Applegate, this study guide helps you learn and review basic A&P concepts. Each chapter emphasizes medical terminology with a set of key terms, word parts, clinical terms, and abbreviations, and then adds a variety of fun-filled learning exercises, review questions, a quiz, and a word puzzle. The study guide corresponds to the textbook chapter for chapter.
Chapter learning objectives help you focus on the most important material. Key concepts are defined on the first page of each chapter in the workbook. Learning exercises for each chapter include short answer, matching, and diagrams to label and color. Self-quizzes allow you to measure your progress and understanding. Fun and Games features end each chapter with a variety of engaging puzzles covering words and concepts. A chapter summary provides a brief review of each chapter. A chapter review provides questions for reinforcement and review of the concepts in each chapter.Related Subjects
DramaIt is a very good book as far as having to take a class goes. It is very detailed in the body systems and it was worth the price for both the book and the study guide.

This is one of the better A/P textbooks I have used over the years. The book is sequenced well, making it easy to go from one system to the next. It is well indexed. The workbook compliments the textbook. The author knows her material.

I found this book to be well-written and to the point for every topic in anatomy and physiology. It was totally complete, showing the structure and function of every system in the body. I studied this book and the following for my college anatomy and physiology classes: Anatomy and Physiology Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers with Explanations by Patrick Leonardi Vol 1(ISBN: 0971999619) and Vol 2 (ISBN: 0971999627)This...

The book is organized by organ system, and each chapter is full of well explained illustration. To use the book, not much knowledge of chemistry is needed (just a bit of acid/base chem, freshman year) and elementary cell biology. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants an elementary, easy to follow introduction to anatomy and physiology for self-study.

Edith Applegate was my instructor at Kettering College. She has an extensive knowlege of the human body and her book is well written. This two book program may seem difficult, but it will give you a great understanding into basic anatomy.
