A rhyming picturebook about self-discovery

'Cuz That's Just My Way is a rhyming picturebook about self-discovery. A young boy notices odd things about various animals - the long arms of monkeys, the wobbly legs of flamingoes, and harsh cry of crows. He asks each animal about them, and each tells him that their differences have a special purpose - to swing through trees, or wade through bodies of water, or scare away rivals and reassure baby chicks. The boy realizes that his words are hurtful, though not intentionally so, and that he has his own special qualities. The gentle color illustrations add an inviting touch to this lovely story perfect for reading aloud to young children.

This book has a wonderful message and terrific illustrations. The story of the boy discovering the beauty in all individuals is moving and a lesson that all children, and adults, need to know.
