A great book, a useful tool.

I really found this book is doing a excellent job in combing the subtle threads of cultural differences hence the clashes in nowsdays international settings. What I am more deeply impressed is that the book not only provides a tool for people in business, political sector in understanding the generally underestimated factor of culture clash in real world communication, but how to successfully manage the various problems arousing from this issue as well. Plus, the language itself in the book is amazingly vivid.

A book with advices, admonitions and priceless secrets

Fascinating, informative, educational and thoroughly entertaining. I have worked for five decades in the international finance community - Europe, North and Latin America, and Asia. Given my experience in international dealings with people of different cultural backgrounds, I appreciate the colorful stories. Your advice, admonitions and secrets are priceless. - Richard Murray, Vice Chairman, LaProv Corporation

absolutely required for leaders who manage across cultures!

A great read - and you end up feeling smarter as a result of it. Part of the charm of being American is being overbearing and bullish, but sometimes we don't realize the effect our behavior has on other cultures. Absolutely required reading for leaders who manage across cultures. - Ali Velshi, Anchor, CNNfn

A great book

I have been in the business of cross-border M & As for a long time. This would be great reading for our clients. For somebody who didn't grow up with this at the dining table, it's an excellent way of getting up to speed quickly. It picks out the parts of the cross-cultural puzzle and makes them understandable and usable. The section on preventing things from going wrong is an excellent analysis of elements that go into the cross-cultural melting pot. If you follow these prescriptions, you have an instant leg up on the competition. This is a great book.- John Adams, President, Adams & Royer, Inc.

Thomas Zweifel wrote a great book

Churchill used to say: "the higher the ape climbs, the more you see of his behind." The more today's managers work globally, the more they expose themselves to risks and hazards. This book offers essential principles and tips for senior managers who must circumnavigate the treacherous cliffs of other cultures. The graphic examples, impactful statistics and entertaining style make it an easy read. I wish I had had access to Zweifel's tools 35 years ago when I was starting out. Werner Brandmayr, President and Managing Director, Conoco Continental Holding GmbH
