My book is titled Cuckoo. I chose this title because the story connoted by this word has signified great importance in my and my mother's lives. My mother was called a "cuckoo" because she left her daughter, akin to the custom of a cuckoo bird, who throws its eggs in another bird's nest instead of raising her chicks herself. My story starts with a woman who without hesitation chose a free, dissolute life and cared only about herself and her own needs...
