When I talk to people about what happened to me at the age of twelve and what happened to my family, I always start by asking, "Do you remember what you did this past Christmas Eve?" Do you have a time in your life that you just cannot remember due to a traumatic event in your life? The more I close my eyes to fill in the blanks to remember what happened, the more confused I am. This book is entitled Crystal's Journey and is based on my life as I learn to live again after a traumatic event in which I died. My goal is to be able to help someone somewhere and bring hope to those who were involved in a traumatic event or are going through a traumatic event. "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Cast your cares upon the Lord; he truly cares for you" (Psalms 46:1).
