Action, Drama, Historically Significant...Page Turner!

"If you have to cry, cry for joy. Cry for freedom, girl." CRY FREEDOM is the perfect title for yet another excellent entry into the WILDERNESS series. I had to catch my breath more than once in this drama that takes place in an era when slavery was legal in the United States. What is legal and what is right are not necessarily the same thing. This is a rivoting story of courage, conviction and love. Two unlikely families come together, but who have one important goal in common, the right to live free. The Kings live in the wilderness where it is a constant struggle to survive, but a man and his family can live free. The Worths were born into slavery, freedom has only been a dream. It is in St, Louis where the Kings and the Worths meet. One family is in town on business and the other family needs to get out of town and fast. Nate King, when asked offers to guide the Worth family on their expedition to the frontier, but gets more than he bargained for along the way. David Thompson, once again, writes a page turner! It is not only another adventure of the King family, but a story of historical significance. The very tenet of the WILDERNESS story is about freedom and survival. The story of a black family on the run for their freedom blends well with this mountain man tale. I cannot wait to read the next entry in this series. Thank-you Mr. Thompson!!!

AWSOME!!!

IF I TELL YOU WHY, THEN I WOULD RUIN IT FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ IT YET. AS USUAL THE REASON I LOVE THIS SERIES BECAUSE THE GOOD GUYS ALWAYS WIN! IN MY REVIEW OF MR. THOMPSON LAST BOOK, FEAR WEAVER, I SAID HE BROUGHT A "THESE HILLS HAVE EYES" CONCEPT TO THE 1850'S ROCKY MOUNTAINS. BUT THIS IS EVEN BETTER. IT'S ROOTS, GLORY AND AMISTAD MEETS APOCALYPTO,TERMINATOR AND RAMBO IN THE 1850'S ROCKY MOUNTAINS. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, READ THE BOOK AND SEE HOW NATE KING UNLEASES ON THE BAD GUYS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MR. THOMPSON(REAL NAME MR. ROBBINS).
