Cry for More

This was yet another book I've had on my shelf for a while and decided to read. It has all the ingredients for a good series: a well-developed main character, a solid story line and believable supporting characters. Some scenes bordered on the "cozy mystery style" but I still couldn't put it down. I'm glad to see there are more in this series.

A Pleasant Surprise

I'm not sure why I grabbed this paperback at the library, but I'm really glad I did. It is extremely well-written with well-developed characters that you care about. Liz James is a very inspiring, but believable, main character. I suspected several characters as the murderer, and the end totally surprised me. It was a great read--I'm so glad to know that this might turn into a series. Way to go Karen Stuych!

Great 1st book; leaves you eagerly awaiting books 2 & amp; 3 & amp; 4

This is an excellent book that far surpasses the trite,cutesy blurb on the book's cover. I guess this followssome of the criteria of a "cosy", but this is a strongfemale lead character in an inovative action plot that reminds me of Marcia Muller's lead. The author is a Texan whose main character, Liz James, works and lives in Houston. I've read the second book, 'Held Accountable', and found it to be even better than the first. I am looking forward to book three.Ellen Whitne
