The information in this cruising guide is great regarding the different island anchorages. Fagan recommends particular anchorages for given weather conditions, and certain areas within these anchorages for best holding ground. He takes the guess-work out of determining the type of bottom. The only shortcoming is the photographs: they are sort of underexposed black and white images, which give a rather poor impression what the anchorages look like in real life. The descriptions and waypoints make up for this deficiency, for the most part. Overall, this is a thorough and accurate cruising guide that every sailor is well-advised to take with him or her on island trips.
