I loved it !

The Crown Jewel by Fern Michaels was an amazing book. To say it has lost of twist and turns does not even descript how many plot twist this story has. The baseline of the story is about Hollywood leading man Ricky Lam and his business partner and brother Philly. Ricky was your total bad boy and Philly was always getting him out of jams. What Ricky didn't know was that his brother had secrets and lots of them. Great book - off to read more by this author - Enjoy! I would also recommend; Accidentally Yours by Susan Mallery,Once A Rake by Rona Sharon & Into Thin Air by Cindy Miles.

A Jewel of a Novel

Movie star great Ricky Lam is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. He is clean for fifteen years when at a party one night he has a drink. He awakens the next morning feeling regretful for his relapse. His day only gets worse when he arrives at his movie set for the last scene only to find out his beloved brother Philip, Philly, has been tragically killed in an accident. Ricky's life is never to be the same as he realizes the brother he loved and wanted approval from was not the brother he knew. Philly had a lifetime of secrets that slip out slowly page by page changing the lives of everyone that knew him. And even some who didn't really know him.Crown Jewel is an excellent book. It has everything in it...money, tragedy, scandal, secrets, power, love. The storyline is wonderful and the characters real. Just when the reader thinks all the secrets have been revealed and there's nothing else to discover some new piece of the puzzle is discovered. Ricky's character is very well developed and written. The supporting characters are a very intrical part of the story. Everything and everyone in this story blends together to create an excellent book. There is just the right mix of suspense and romance. A book to read and keep on the shelf to read again to or loan to a friend. An excellent addition to any book collection.

Crown Jewel is really a "feel-good" book. I truly enjoyed all the wonderful characters and the amazing story line. Another great book to add to my collection. I would love to see a sequel about the lives of Max and Tyler. PLEASE!!!

Simply Wonderful!

A wonderful read. This book had everything. I'm hoping for a sequel. I read this book in two sittings. The characters were flawless. I particularly liked the two story lines running together. I told all my friends to buy this book.

This is a great story about Hollywood, movie stars, family and family secrets, mystery, and animals...this book has it all. It will hold your attention and is one of those books you don't want to put down until you've finished reading it.
