Despite the mediocre reviews from the "professionals" above, I highly recommend this series of books. We found this book as we struggled to get my 8 year old son to enjoy reading. The content is accessible to him and he really enjoys the pages full of pictures and the true/false, search and find features. He actually asks to read these books. That's a real plus when we have been pulling teeth for months! I found the facts to be interesting, if a little simplistic. But hey, it's not supposed to be the Britannica! Compared to many of the other animal fact books out there for children, I found this one to be enjoyable for both my son and myself.
