several small errors present themselves upon examination of this book: the "skink" shown on pg 118 is actually a northern alligator lizard, not fouond in Eastern Washington; some of the info presented on the western skink is inaccurate (particularly with regard to tail regeneration); and as a north Spokane "lifer" i can say with some certainty that there have been no documented sightings of the rubber boa (Charina bottae) in the Little Spokane watershed area within at least the past 40 years. these are fairly minor faults, though, and i'll also be the first to admit that it's an otherwise excellent reference work on the area - and just about the only one of its kind, without resorting to multiple field guides or gigantic, expensive, university press editions.
